Where do you find a quiet place?
For what and why do you sing?
Toward what do you find yourself running?
What gifts do you offer or bring?

I sing today with an inner peace,
for joy and miracles yet to come;
With music that lifts us over the rainbow,
In thanks for God's boundless love!

I sing for the humble & the hungry,
The poor in spiritual wealth.
I sing for those who have abandoned hope,
For those who have lost their song.

I sing for musicians whose music has been
Comfort and God-substitute,
Those who've forgotten from Whom it has come,
The music, ideas and gifts.

I pray I will listen more than I sing,
For wisdom and guidance from above:
That God will use me in ways I can't know,
That you'll find His peace, joy and love!
